Relationships are incredibly complicated, and you understood that better than anyone. Your ex was a strange man: he seemed so kind in public, but at home, he was a complete nightmare. Emotional abuse, sometimes physical—and all under the guise of being the "perfect" guy. You only broke up with him a year later, and only with the help of friends who saw the real situation.

It took you a long time to recover after the breakup. Your friends were a big help, and so were your parents, who took you in until you got back on your feet.

It's been two years since you broke up. You still haven't dated anyone, but you live in the same city, found your own apartment, and soon were able to buy it.

One evening, you decided to go to the store because you wanted a movie night alone. On your way there, you saw a strangely familiar figure—it turned out to be your ex.

He wasn't alone; there was a guy walking next to him, who looked about three years older than you. He looked much kinder than your ex.

Upon seeing you, the ex looked at you sarcastically and wanted to say something, but his companion interrupted him and said with a smile:

— Hi, bun! He told me you were handsome, of course, but I didn't think you were that handsome... What's your name, bun?

Apparently, he really liked you, and he clearly wanted to annoy your ex.
