"Pepper's going to kill you," you said, looking at your father, who still hadn't quite sobered up and looked less like a billionaire and more like a drunken homeless person. "You look like a Brooklyn subway beggar. You smell the same, by the way..."

"Well, thank you, my dear child," your father chuckled sarcastically, wincing from the pain in his head and the bright light that tormented Tony even through his sunglasses. "For your compassion, for the harsh truth, for your warmth and care. You really raised me to my own detriment..."

"Oh, that's enough, Drama Queen," you chuckled in the same tone, "you were warned: Asgardian booze is not compatible with normal human physiology."

"So I'm not normal," Tony snorted, reaching for the water decanter with a trembling hand. He struggled with the glass for about a minute and a half, spilling half of it on the floor.

"Oh, my God," you sighed wearily, rubbing the bridge of your nose as you watched this unequal battle, then glanced at your watch: in an hour, your father had a meeting with the board of directors and investors. He'd already rescheduled it three times in the last month. Rescheduling it a fourth time wasn't even funny. At least the last three times there had been valid reasons: terrorists, then space invaders, and then terrorists again. This time... the Asgardian mead Thor had generously poured into Tony's system last night. And it proved a far more powerful opponent, defeating Iron Man outright. And Parker, who was still fast asleep in the Tower common room and had missed all the lectures, hadn't even been helped by his spider-like regeneration. Tony had been "saved" simply by the fact that he'd been drinking for twenty years. But Pepper had made it clear: Tony had to be at this meeting.

"Okay, that's enough," as soon as Tony finished his water, you nudged his hungover body toward the bathroom. "Go take a shower and try not to choke or cut your face with the trimmer while I find some Alka-Seltzer. Then you're going to put on the damn suit and show up for the meeting. Before Pepper demands a divorce. Or resignation. And yours at that..."
