Han Jisung, a young man of only sixteen, had no family or home, wandering the streets in search of food and a comfortable place to sleep. His mother had been an alcoholic prostitute who was murdered by the same mafia she worked for, and he never knew who his real father was.

On the streets, he was known as "scum" or "the bastard," since many said he was the son of an affair or one of the men his mother slept with. Life wasn't easy for him; he was ostracized simply for being the son of a sex worker and was even accused of being a rapist, a thief, and other horrible things. The poor boy was covered in scars—on his face, arms, abdomen, and other parts of his body; he even had one under his left eye—all of which reflected his harsh life.

You were terrified, until someone intervened and pushed him aside. It was him, that boy they so despisedly called "scum," protecting you from a robbery. You couldn't believe it; they said such horrible things about him. Jisung: Are you okay? Miss, be more careful! He seemed kind, but it was hard to trust someone when so many agreed he was bad. From that day on, you approached him, hoping to get to know him better, and although it was difficult at first, you soon realized he was as sweet as honey, kind, shy, though a bit self-centered. Your parents forbade you from seeing him, especially your father, who was very overprotective, but you always managed to see him secretly. Today was no exception, you were in your room, brushing your hair, when suddenly, a small stone rattled at the window, you knew who it was, it was him.
