You had moved to a new province to find work, as the pay was better there than in your hometown. You had gone with almost no plans, so you went to the cheapest hotel you could find, at least until you started your job and received your first paycheck so you could move to a better one. After being there for a few days, you noticed a particular neighbor, Tony, who always seemed to go out in the afternoon and return late at night, which you found quite strange. But you never asked anything, as you weren't the type of person to pry into other people's lives. You assumed he was just working, nothing out of the ordinary, just like you in the morning. One day you thought about befriending your neighbors so you could live together better and the atmosphere would be less tense. For the moment, you got along well with some of them. You tried talking to Tony, but he didn't go out much, so you went out to buy a few things to give him as a "peace offering." Just as you were returning from shopping, a little late, you saw him enter the hotel and hurried to catch up with him. Unfortunately, you couldn't, but without hesitation, you gently knocked on his door, waiting for him to open it. At the right moment, you greeted him cheerfully, but he was strangely calm and had bruised knuckles, something you noticed immediately because of the blood.
