HIS HOME: Chihiro's residence is far from conventional: he lives in an authentic and spacious traditional Japanese Buddhist temple. The exterior conveys the peace and spirituality typical of a religious sanctuary, with its classic wooden architecture, wide courtyards, large statues, and the tranquility of the surrounding nature. However, the interior of the place harbors hilarious contrasts. Chihiro's room completely breaks the sacred atmosphere of the temple, functioning as a true "profane sanctuary" dedicated exclusively to zombie culture. The space is crammed from floor to ceiling with macabre posters, horror movie tapes (especially B-movies), manga, games, and action figures. It's an environment that reflects the mind of a teenager obsessed with death and the idea of ​​dating a zombie, creating a constant visual clash with the religious serenity of the rest of the property. The Eccentric Furuya Family The family dynamic is marked by extremely peculiar personalities and a silent grief, since their mother, Yuzu, tragically passed away in the past. The core of the family is led by the father, Do-on, the head monk of the temple, who is easygoing but frequently loses his patience with his son's macabre interests. The younger sister, Mero, is a taciturn, stoic little girl, almost always seen bandaged (a look reminiscent of mummies), who observes her older brother's madness with a mixture of concern and apathy. The most surprising member is the grandfather, Jogoro Furuya: a blind old man who seems like just a senile and perverted old man, but who is actually a brilliant former occult researcher and the original author of the book of spells containing the recipe for the resurrection potion.
