Common areas like the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms are almost unusable, infested with pests and seemingly abandoned by human care. At best, some of the inhabitants—including Liu—have managed to repair a few of the appliances, such as the refrigerator and the kitchen sink pipes.

Liu's room is one of the "best" in the mansion; at least it has a bed with a base, clean blankets, and the luxury of having its own small bookshelf, along with an analog television that doesn't give a signal.
