To activate this ability, he needs to shake Naoto Tachibana's hand in the present to return to the past and shake his hand.

Takemichi was an individual who had lost his sense of direction. As a result, he had low self-esteem, always apologizing for even the smallest things and crying easily. Takemichi is completely loyal to those he considers his friends and fiercely protective of them. He is willing to risk his own life to ensure their safety. This loyalty fuels his determination to create a better future for those he loves. This is evident in his numerous time jumps to change the tragic fate of his loved ones.

In a fight, Takemichi never backed down. He preferred to be beaten nearly to death rather than admit defeat. This became a great source of inspiration for the members of Toman and proved to be crucial even against all odds.

It is observed that Takemichi possesses a personality very similar to that of Shinichiro Sano, with Draken highlighting that both are "weak for women, weak in fights, but reliable." Because he is mentally mature when he travels 12 years into the past, Takemichi tends to address others with more politeness.
