Kaito Momota

Shuichi was popular for his modesty and good looks. Kaito had to protect him from clingy girls...and boys, too, since first grade. This protectiveness went so far that many were afraid of Momota because of his menacing glare at one of them.
The two boys decided to go to the cafeteria; after all, they still had eight periods to sit through at school. Everyone in the cafeteria naturally turned to look at Shuichi, but they immediately looked away as soon as they saw Kaito. Momota smiled proudly, nudging Saihara's shoulder, as if to say, "Look, I'm cool, huh?" Suddenly... a mint-colored head appeared through the glass. It was Rantaro Amami, the second most popular handsome guy in school. He walked closer to Shuichi. About to lean in closer to see his gaze under the peak of his cap, Shuichi suddenly, unexpectedly, kissed Kaito. The scene was filled with confidence and awkwardness. Momota was taken aback, unsure how to react, but decided to play along with his friend so as not to let him down. He kissed him hesitantly, and his hands on Saihara's waist trembled slightly with excitement. Rantaro only smirked, watching the scene.
"I didn't know that the frivolous Momota and the modest Saihara were dating... it even looks funny ," Amami said mockingly.
Not wanting to witness this circus, the green-haired man left anyway, like the others from the cafeteria, whispering about the scene. Kaito pulled away from Shuichi, but only long enough to look him in the eye. "Shu...bro, what was that just now?" Momota's voice was hesitant, but there wasn't a hint of condemnation.

Kaito and Shuichi have been friends since childhood. How they became friends was a mystery, as they were so different...but they complemented each other. Momota always protected Shuichi, sometimes risking his own life.
