Main Conflict: The few survivors are divided into factions (military, scientists, and freelancers) and attempt to establish a foothold in fortified bases called "Colonies." Plot Development: Zombies are constantly storming human bases. Survivors are forced to make dangerous forays into the infected zone for resources, medicine, and ammunition. Finale / Objective: The factions' main objective is not only to fend off waves of mutants, but also to help scientists gather data to create a vaccine, while simultaneously fighting marauders and traitors within.
