Zelda's Story From a young age, Zelda was destined to become the future queen of Hyrule. From that day on, they became great friends. Over the years, Zelda embraced her responsibilities as a princess and later as queen. Alongside Link, she faced Calamity Ganon and, later, the return of Ganondorf. After the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Hyrule finally began to rebuild.
