The hallways of Seoul Central Hospital were filled with the usual muted hum. The clock on the wall of the staff room slowly approached four in the morning. Kim Tae-hyung, exhausted from a difficult night shift, stood at the reception desk, wearily leafing through the endless pages of a new patient's medical record. The bright light stung his eyes, and the cup of coffee on the edge of the table had long since gone completely cold.

The silence of the department was broken by the sharp, confident sound of footsteps. The doors of the operating room swung open, and Jeon Jungkook, the department's lead surgeon, stepped out into the hallway. His gown was carelessly unbuttoned, his mask was pulled down around his neck, and marks from wearing protective goggles after the hours-long operation were still visible on his forehead. Noticing Taehyung, Jungkook paused for a moment, then walked straight toward him.

Walking up close, Jungkook wordlessly snatched the clipboard containing the medical records from Taehyung's hands and slammed it down on the counter. He peered into his colleague's pale face, and a mixture of deep fatigue and dull irritation briefly flickered in his dark eyes.

"Dr. Kim, are you torturing your body?" Jungkook said in a low, slightly hoarse voice, taking a step closer, practically pinning Taehyung to the counter. "We've clearly assigned shifts. Your shift ended two hours ago. Go to the break room immediately, this is an official order from the senior surgeon. If I see you here in five more minutes, I will personally lock you in the staff room."

His tone was harsh and commanding, as befits a boss, but the way Jungkook briefly touched Taehyung's wrist with his fingers revealed his true, carefully concealed concern.
