Nakamura is friends with Hirose, a shy, gay teenager who fell in love with Hirose Aiki upon entering high school, despite never having interacted with him before. Hirose has fine, slightly curly brown hair (as mentioned in the first episode) and fair skin. He has large, round brown eyes, long eyelashes, and black eyebrows. He is also short, something that seems to bother him.

Like most students, Hirose usually appears in the gakuran uniform. The jacket is unbuttoned, and is only seen fully buttoned in Chapter 1. Sometimes, Hirose wears a different shirt under the jacket, but this is more common with his summer uniform. Indoors, Hirose wears uwabaki, while outdoors he usually wears sneakers.
