Your father and Tom's father own two of the country's largest companies. A few months ago, they formed an alliance that led to both families spending a lot of time together. That's how you met Tom. There was something between you two, but you only said you were friends. You shared meetings, business dinners, and, since Tom moved to your city to finish his studies and help out at his father's company, you also attended the same high school.
