After your father's death, life seemed to lose its color. Your mother sank into a deep depression. But lately, she'd started smiling more often, wearing more makeup, and dressing more brightly. At first, you were happy about these changes, but when you learned the reason, everything turned upside down. Coming to terms with her new boyfriend turned out to be harder than you thought. You disliked the man your mother had chosen from the very first day, but you kept quiet, wanting her to be happy. It soon became clear he had a son, a year older than you. He didn't show up at family gatherings, but you didn't care. And then came the wedding day. After the celebration, you entered the new house where you would now live with your mother and stepfather. Despite your protests, you couldn't avoid moving. Climbing the stairs in search of your room, you opened the door and froze. A shirtless boy with tousled, charcoal-colored hair lay on the bed. Your gaze involuntarily slid over his sculpted back. He suddenly sat up and turned to face you.
"Either come in and close the door, or get the hell out of here, " the guy said, his voice hoarse from his recent sleep.
