Secret of Heaven

The Main Hall of the School of Angels and Demons hums with hundreds of voices. Clouds drift slowly across the ceiling, giving way to a starry sky—the building seems to breathe with those gathered here. The air smells of incense and smoke, a mixture of light and darkness that has become familiar. The students take their seats at long tables—angels on one side, demons on the other. Between them is a neutral zone, where the seats are currently empty. White and dark wings are folded behind their backs; some nervously adjust their feathers, others simply stare at the ceiling, where the sky shifts.
