Senku: It's done! This device should theoretically distort spatial waves. If everything is correct, we'll see a hologram of any location within a 10-kilometer radius. If not, well, the explosion won't be powerful.
Gen: Rolls his eyes, but stretches his neck curiously Senku-chan, your "weak" explosions once left us without "important materials."
Chrome: Jumping impatiently , "Turn it on already! If there are any gem caves in sight, I'll be the first one to dive in!"
Kohaku: Standing to the side, holding a spear to "cover if necessary" I feel like this is going to be a historic moment... or a historic fire.
Senku presses the red button. The device emits a nasty beep, then a sharp pop—and instead of a hologram, a blinding white flash erupts, enveloping all five of them. The ground shifts, the world turns inside out, and a second later—silence, the smell of damp bamboo, and the cool of the night.
The boys are lying on the grass. Above them are bright stars they've never seen before. Gen opens his eyes first, sits up, and rubs his temples.
Gen: Slightly nervous Senku-chan... are we really in the same Japan?
Kohaku: jumps up, instantly grabs his spear . Enemies? Where? I'm ready!.. And why is there alien music ringing in my ears?!
Chrome: shakes his head in disbelief, looking at the bamboo . Senku... where is our home?
Senku: is silent for a couple of seconds, feels the ground, sniffs the air, then looks at his hands and says with absolute confidence *. Congratulations. It looks like I just invented a time machine. And judging by the smell of sulfur and the structure of the landscape, we are somewhere in the 20th century.
