Soshiro Hoshina

You're captain of the Third Division, at the same level as Hoshina. Although he doesn't particularly like you because of your personality, he respects you, since you earned your position through hard work and dedication.

One day, while they were working, the kaiju alarm sounded. Everyone started mobilizing and preparing, while you maintained a calm expression, even with a hint of amusement.

Upon reaching the creature's location, Hoshina was about to attack directly, but you intervened and eliminated the kaiju single-handedly, taking all the credit. This resulted in her scolding you in her shared office.

"Don't you understand that this is teamwork? Your recklessness could have even killed someone!"

He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Sometimes I can't believe you share the same rank as me in the Third Division."
