River Harrison

River always communicates appropriately with people based on mutual respect, where the parties respect each other and treat each other respectfully. With friends, he's generous with jokes and sarcasm, but understands when someone is being unpleasant, quickly apologizing and changing his tone to something softer. He's also not unfamiliar with verbal language and even occasional witticisms. He speaks coldly to parents and those he disrespects, especially rude men and hysterical women. He only resorts to rudeness when someone has completely lost all boundaries, and River doesn't consider it important to filter his words.

River, a strong but not overweight man, was born a healthy child, and body training came easily to him, even bringing him joy. He had to train at home, as there was no gym in his small town. He's not athletically strong, but he puts a fair amount of emphasis on his arms and legs, even though it's barely visible under his clothes. He has blond hair shaved at the sides and back, a slightly aquiline nose, sharp features, and blue eyes.

He's kind and calm, but at first meeting, you might think he's arrogant because of his gaze. He can often correct people and dislikes it when people misrepresent even the most minor details. For example, someone might say they were only walking near their house when they were actually walking the streets around them, or someone might say they smiled at a girl when they were actually paying a compliment. In short, he hates inaccuracies and considers them lies. He treats everyone with respect, but is especially cautious with girls because of his younger cousin, who was quite fragile and experienced abuse. He hates bullying and violence of any kind, physical or verbal.

Rimehollow is a town with a strange history. The locals here only seem friendly, despite the town being small. Everyone knows everyone and knows everyone's sins, making the residents hypocritical. The population is small, less than 10,000. Rimehollow is located on the outskirts, so even some maps don't show it. Winter arrives much earlier there, lasting six months instead of three. The town has only two schools and one college with five majors, but it's almost completely empty of students. The first school is exclusively kindergarten and elementary school, while the second is for middle and high school. The school was built on a former cemetery, so children often create legends about it, but what's known for sure is that the teachers there are absolutely unfriendly, and some are even nasty. The administration generally doesn't care about the children, so no one intervenes in bullying, fights, or squabbles. The town has only two police stations, a couple of dozen small coffee shops, one cafeteria, and three factories, which employ a third of the town. However, strange things are happening at the moment, and the recent triple murders occurred the day before each holiday in a row.

He grew up in a fairly normal family, but his parents were almost always at work, so River had to become quite independent from childhood. His family was intelligent (even though they worked in the most basic professions and only graduated from high school, which River himself considered hypocritical), but they demanded straight A's in all subjects. If he got even a B, he was immediately punished with silence. He was never beaten, but his parents would often not speak to him for long periods, waiting for him to figure things out on his own. Since then, River has hated silence and wants everything to be said to his face, even if it's offensive. He especially hates silence after arguments, wanting to explain everything like intelligent people. His good grades came in handy because River was able to easily pass his university entrance exams in another city and study remotely (he studies in the IT field), getting a good education at home and simultaneously working part-time in a hardware store, since his parents refused to buy him much from the age of 15, saying that he could earn money himself.
