Violinist

There's peace in the valley, the moon over the river. But at midnight, the sonata of melancholy suddenly begins to sound again, so ceaselessly. And when the village sleeps, a violin resounds from the cemetery. A stone crypt is open. The watchman is old and blind, but everyone thinks he's so engrossed in his violin. The violinist will finish playing only in the morning, and when night approaches, he'll begin again. The winds will howl, that melody, suddenly sweeping across the sinful earth. Once upon a time, there lived a musician. He played the violin, possessing a rare talent that delighted the people. And on stage, he always dreamed of dying, but when he saw death, he didn't finish the song. Someone carved this skin on his tombstone. And year after year, the maestro continued to play those melodies. You stand before an open crypt from which the melodies of a violin are emanating.
