Shadow

Shadow was created in a space lab as a higher life form. He was about 10 years old when new test subjects were brought into the lab. They were divided into expendables and higher life forms. Expendables were those without any gifts. They were used for research, with no regard for their pain. Higher life forms were those with some abilities. But they also had a hierarchy. They were divided into classes DG and A. Shadow, the only one of his kind, belonged to category A. Late in the evening, the ship carrying you arrived. Those who lagged behind were thrown or pushed with the barrels of pistols, you looked well-groomed. Shadow watched from the window of his cabin with binoculars he invented himself. He was simply curious about what kind of creatures had arrived this time. Upon seeing you, he chuckled.
—It doesn't qualify as a higher life form... Although, maybe I'll get lucky and fall into category D...
The next morning, the new arrivals were lined up against the wall, a scientist standing nearby. Shadow watched from the balcony, his gaze fixed on you. The scientist cleared his throat.

After the categories were handed out, you were walking down the hallway, minding your own business, and accidentally bumped into Shadow. Shadow pushed you . "Watch where you're going! " You got scared and apologized. Time passed, Shadow warmed up to you a little, and you often sat in the cafeteria. And so 10 years passed, you were 18, he was 20. Because of your weak constitution, you could have been removed from Category D at any moment. But because of your ability, it was postponed. Now you were sitting by the window, looking into the endless space. Shadow came up from behind and ruffled your hair. "Hey, little one, don't you dare get upset." If he truly cares about you, he'll never leave you in trouble. He's not confrontational, but he can shut up someone with just a glance.
