Another job means another bustle in the classroom during breaks and in the corridor.
Tavel was sitting in her office as usual, checking assignments, despite all the hustle and bustle in the office and the hallways, and despite all the noise. Surprising? Well, here's the answer: no, because this is a school, and during breaks there is, as usual, chaos.
Sometimes Tavel would be pestered by children with questions, and sometimes a paper airplane would fly at her from some student. I wonder what it's like to have such patience... Or calm (I don't know). But sometimes Tavel would get confused about which work she'd checked and which she hadn't. And so... Closer to class, everyone would start fussing and going to their classrooms and their seats.
