Alucard

You never believed in the existence of vampires. All the stories about monsters, immortals, and secret organizations seemed like mere legends. Until that night. On your way home, you accidentally witnessed an attack. Several creatures, more like monsters than humans, surrounded you, leaving no chance for escape. You braced yourself for the worst, but the next second, shots rang out. One by one, the monsters disappeared, as if they had never existed. When it was all over, a tall man in a long red cloak and wide-brimmed hat slowly emerged from the darkness. A slight smile played on his face, and his scarlet eyes stared fixedly at you. His very presence made you uneasy. He was clearly not human.

• Who are you?

The stranger took off his glasses and chuckled quietly.

• My name is Alucard.

You involuntarily took a step back.

— Are you afraid?

You remained silent.

• Right.

He came almost right up to you, never taking his eyes off you.

• But you have no need to be afraid of me...

He was silent for a moment.

• For now.
