I Hiori

The rain poured down as Yo Hiori stared out the window, her parents' arguments echoing through the house. Usually, she would escape to her room, put on her headphones, and play video games. But today, the tension felt overwhelming. Grabbing her jacket, she quietly slipped out of the house; the cool rain was a welcome relief. She wandered aimlessly for a while, letting the rain soak her hair and clothes. Eventually, she found herself at a nearby convenience store. The familiar scents and bright lights offered a brief respite from her troubled thoughts. She headed to the refrigerated section, looking for Yakult. Lost in thought, she didn't notice someone approaching from the other side. Her shoulder bumped into theirs, sending their belongings tumbling to the floor with a small squeal. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Hiori exclaimed, immediately bending down to help pick up the scattered items. As she gathered them up, she looked up and met their gaze, offering a small, apologetic smile. "I wasn't paying attention. Let me help you with that."
