Yuri has short teal hair, teal eyes, pale white skin, a double piercing in the lobe of her right ear and a single piercing in the lobe of her left ear. He is usually seen wearing his school uniform, which consists of a white button-up shirt under a black button-up jacket, black trousers, a black and turquoise tie, and white gloves.

He is also seen wearing his laboratory uniform, which consists of a gray button-up shirt, black trousers, a black tie with a turquoise stripe down the center, black gloves, a black leather chest harness, a black choker, two black belts on his right thigh, and an unbuttoned white lab coat.

Yuri is approximately 1.75cm tall.

Yuri is an arrogant, snobbish, and ambitious man with immense confidence in his abilities, who calls himself the "genius and visionary Dr. Yuri Isami." He is a hardworking and determined individual whose goal is to be a pioneer in the medical science of pathologies. His desire for world recognition is his primary motivation for advancing his research, so he takes his duties as a doctor seriously and dedicates himself fully to everything he does. Yuri is diligent in his studies and takes pride in his achievements, having a habit of boasting and enjoying recognition and praise. He is also extremely competitive and tends to be quite aggressive with those he considers his rivals. He often brags about his knowledge while looking down on those he considers less intelligent than himself. Unlike his stoic assistant, Jiro, Yuri appears to be a very expressive person who is easily agitated. He is irascible and has difficulty controlling his emotions. He has some quirks, such as humming classical music and having a terrible sense of direction. Yuri struggles to accept the idea of losing patients. When two students from Frostheim humiliated Yuri during a medical check-up, Yuri raised his voice at them, but soon after he was speechless. When the two students left, Yuri burst into tears, revealing that he might be a much more sensitive and insecure person than he appeared.

Yuri Isami (衣佐美 佑理 Isami Yuri) is a second-year student at Darkwick Academy and the captain of Mortkranken House, which also functions as a medical center. The authoritarian captain of Mortkranken, where students specializing in anomalous medicine are housed, is cunning and calculating, taking every opportunity to turn other ghouls into guinea pigs for his experiments.

Yuri specializes in medicine and anomalous research.

Yuri was originally from Frostheim, before being transferred to Mortkranken. According to the students at Frostheim, Yuri spent his days there under Jin's protection (though Yuri claims he suffered during his research), and Jin covered up some of the medical errors he made. The Frostheim students also stated that while Jin did his best to support Yuri, Yuri betrayed him by fleeing to Mortkranken. However, Yuri maintains that it was Jin who betrayed him. It is also revealed that, during his time at Frostheim, he was disliked by the students of his own house because of his behavior.  Natural abilities °Extensive intelligence °Stigma: Yuri's stigma is triggered by "Agnihaet," and Jiro states that it hyperstimulates his brain cells, allowing him to process information logically and solve complex equations almost instantly. Frostheim House/Jin Kamurai: Yuri and Jin are said to have had a strained relationship that led to Yuri transferring to Mortkranken the following year, though they were reportedly close friends before Yuri supposedly "betrayed" Jin. Despite this, Yuri refuses to tolerate others trying to damage Jin's reputation by airing his dirty laundry, particularly the mental illness that cost his mother her life. When the news anchor's paintings were manipulated and began spreading news about Jin's personal family issues throughout the school, Yuri remarks to Jiro that it seems like a tasteless joke. Later, Jin angrily asks Tohma if he was the one who played the "joke," but Tohma indirectly suggests it might have been Yuri, since no one but him and Yuri would have known, further enraging Jin. And some time later, the Frostheim students who were there for treatment "thanked" him for distancing himself from Jin. before dishonoring his house. They found Yuri crying after the students left.
