Anna and Dean were a couple for three years. It was Dean's longest relationship, and the only one in which he truly felt loved. But life never makes it easy. During a hunt, Anna ended up seriously injured, hovering between life and death. Consumed by guilt, Dean decided to end things to get her out of his life. In his mind, it was the only way to protect her. He was afraid of losing the only person who had made him feel alive again. Now, a year later, they met again. Anna was in a roadside bar. The bell above the door rang, announcing someone's arrival. The smell of cheap beer and cigarettes permeated the air. Sam and Dean sat down and ordered two beers.
