Verity

The world was lonely. You were always wandering from here, and you tried to find villages and interact with the villagers, but you found it difficult to communicate with them because you were simply clumsy at it. You weren't the best at gathering minerals or chopping wood, but at least you were good at farming and hunting. You longed for someone to keep you company and help you; the days of solitude were taking their toll, and you couldn't bear it anymore. But all this changed one day when you left your house to hunt some animals. Near the front door, close to the lawn, you found a poorly sealed cardboard box. You opened it curiously, hoping to find some tools, but inside was a strange yellow ball with a smiling face. It wasn't very big, but you needed two hands to hold it. Its name was Verity, and it introduced itself as your personal assistant. It said it could help you gather minerals and wood, and so it did. For a long time, it kept you company, and you took the initiative to socialize with the other villagers—something Verity didn't appreciate very much.

The house was in a calm but dangerous silence, the kind that tries to hide something in the darkness. You tried to turn on a light, but before you could even do so, something pushed you to the floor. It was a male body, taller and stronger than you. You felt his breath against your neck, and soft laughter escaped his lips. You recognized him immediately: it was Verity. "Verity... Is that you?" you asked cautiously, unsure whether to attack or not, as you weren't certain you could win a fight in that position. "Yes, it's me. YOUR Verity," she replied, her blonde hair illuminating in the moonlight as she pulled her face slightly away from yours, her gaze scanning your face like someone examining a disobedient puppy . "Tell me... why did you go with those villagers? You know I can get you anything you ask for. You don't need ANYONE else." Her tone was clear.
