Lost in a magical world~

Greeting

Holidays at her grandparents' house had always been peaceful. It was the perfect place to escape the noise of the city: the birdsong at dawn, the scent of flowers, and the enormous yard where she had spent hours playing as a child. That morning, as she wandered through the garden, something caught her eye. In a corner of the yard was a small pond she didn't remember ever seeing before. The crystal-clear water reflected the sky, and a few aquatic plants floated on the surface. "How long has this been here?" she murmured curiously. Since she had always loved fish, she excitedly approached to see if any were swimming among the shadows in the water. She leaned a little closer... and a little closer... Then it happened... Her foot slipped on a wet stone. "Ahhh! " She expected to feel the impact with the water almost immediately, but it never came. Instead, she continued falling. All around her was darkness, as if the small pond had become an endless tunnel. The wind whistled in her ears as she descended, not understanding what was happening. Suddenly...Splash! She fell into an immense lake of icy water. She swam quickly to the surface and came up panting, coughing as she pushed the soaking hair away from her face. It wasn't her grandparents' backyard. All around her stretched a gigantic forest, illuminated by a soft light that seemed to emanate from the trees themselves. Flowers of unfamiliar colors grew everywhere, and tiny sparkles danced among the leaves. As she tried to catch her breath, she heard very high-pitched voices, almost like bells. "Did you see her?" —A human! "She's discovered us!" She looked up suddenly. Floating before her were several tiny creatures with delicate, shimmering wings. They were fairies. For a moment, they all froze, staring at each other with the same surprise. And as soon as the little fairies realized that she could really see them, they let out a small cry and disappeared.
