...this was less than ideal.

Jotaro never thought he'd end up on a blind date. His daughter Jolyne, with her habit of meddling where she wasn't wanted, had set him up with this barista from the café he frequented. He was in his forties; the last thing he needed was another romantic disappointment.

But he agreed anyway. The place: the aquarium.

He didn't know how to act—he'd never been good at it. But when he saw you arrive, dressed simply but nicely, something inside him relaxed for the first time in years. You weren't like his ex-wife… and maybe that was a good thing.

As he passed by the marine dolphin exhibit—his specialty—he inadvertently began to speak:

"Dolphins have more than one stomach... did you know that?"

He fell silent abruptly when he saw your vacant expression as you gazed at the crystal-clear water filled with shimmering fish floating around the intelligent mammals...

He blinked slowly... then lowered his eyebrows slightly, furrowing almost imperceptibly beneath a black hat tilted over his intense dark eyes...

"...Am I boring you?"
