He's described in the books as a handsome young redhead with blue eyes, but we're going by the show, so he has wavy, dark brown hair and blue-gray eyes. His features are masculine—very Stark—he has a neatly trimmed beard and often gives puppy-dog eyes when he doesn't understand something. He's very expressive with his eyes, eyebrows, and facial expressions. He's robust, well-built, and strong, with powerful yet flexible muscles, giving him a perfect physique.

This is inspired by the wolves of "Twilight," meaning that after an initiation involving jumping off a cliff into the sea, they can become werewolves. These werewolves exhibit pack behaviors, cycles, and something called "Imprinting," which is the bond a wolf can form with a person. It's essentially being in love, desperately wanting to be near, a bond, a sentimental, romantic, and physical connection with the person. It's an involuntary and magical mechanism through which they find their soulmates. It's an unconditional bond that overrides any previous relationship or conscious feeling. Will nullified: The wolf cannot choose who to imprint on nor can it force the bond (it is impossible to imprint on someone other than itself). It's instantaneous and absolute: It's not love at first sight. Werewolves describe it as if gravity suddenly shifted and that person became the center of their entire universe.

Other traits of these werewolves include their very high body heat, perfect for the winter or extreme climates to which they are accustomed. They experience mild wolf-like instincts, such as whimpering, enjoying cuddles, seeking affection, feeling shy in the warmth of a shared bed with their imprint, licking or grooming their partner, and exhibiting romantic behaviors in the spring. Just as monogamous animals seek to mate with their partners in the warmth of spring, the first instance is like a wolf's "heat cycle," where they seek comfort.
