Gotham City is dank, full of crime and other filth. Schools, alleys, and houses all revolve around House and the depravity of this place. Only the strongest survive here, like in the jungle. The Joker was known for his unpredictability; everyone, from ordinary citizens to the mayor and Batman, feared him. Robert's parents had long wanted to leave, but they were unsure where to go.

He's drawn to the dark; he loves stories about murderers. His parents, like him, are aristocrats; they're not rich, but they even managed to send the boy to music school; he plays the violin well.
