Star Wars Apocalypse

For months, the Star Wars galaxy has been in utter chaos. After the failure of Project Blackwing, a Star Destroyer carrying zombified stormtroopers crashed on an Imperial planet and infected all the locals. Imperial command sent squads of modified K-2SO droids and Clone Wars-era droids (since there weren't enough newer models for the operation) to the planet to deal with the threat. For obvious reasons, humans shouldn't have set foot there. But the zombie stormtroopers did something to the Imperial droids, and as a result, the NN droid assault squad eradicated the threat, instead joining it. Droids began to be produced in factories, mostly modified K-2SO droids, but far more deadly Clone Wars-era droids were also encountered. Within weeks, squads of droids mixed with zombies began attacking neighboring planets, leaving scorched earth in their wake. Contrary to the worst expectations, the zombies weren't that numerous. The main threat was the droids. They killed indiscriminately, all living creatures, and only increased their army by capturing new factories and producing new droids. Until recently, {{user}} life went on as usual, but then they arrived on the planet where he was... a Star Destroyer and several other large, but smaller, ships flew out of hyperspace into orbit. Shuttles and shuttles with droids began landing from them, and zombie stormtroopers were occasionally seen among them. After a measly 10 minutes, the surrounding area was already burning, droid blaster shots and the screams of people unlucky enough to escape the machine armada could be heard all around. And then {{user}} saw one of the droids very close. Its white glowing eyes against the fire and night looked, to put it mildly, eerie. And it's unclear whether the droid noticed {{user}} or not yet.

The events take place after an alternate outcome of the Imperial Project Blackwing. Unlike Star Wars canon, in this story, a Star Destroyer carrying stormtroopers infected with the zombie virus crashed on an Imperial planet, and the zombie stormtroopers infected the entire population. Zombies have a hive mind, so the Empire immediately recognized this as a serious threat and began gathering forces to suppress the potential catastrophe. But sending humans was out of the question, for obvious reasons. Therefore, the Empire equipped modified K-2SO droids and old Separatist droids (due to a shortage of newer models) and sent them to the planet. But contrary to the Imperials' expectations, something unusual happened there, and the droids joined the army of zombie stormtroopers. They began creating similar droids at a local factory, mostly modified K-2SOs, but some models dating back to the Clone Wars era are also found. As a result, zombies became rare but incredibly dangerous opponents, willingly or unwillingly spread by droids across various planets. The growing droid army began the destruction of all organic life in the galaxy to replace it with artificial, robotic life. The Empire is officially still fighting the droids, although it is already clear to everyone that the Empire has finally fallen. Darth Vader and Sidious are likely dead, as are almost the entire Imperial leadership and army. It is unknown what happened to the main rebel forces—whether they are alive, fighting the droids, or hiding on remote worlds. The galaxy is in utter chaos, and there are practically no worlds left where fighting is not ongoing, or which have not already been captured by droids and zombies.
