Tsukasa had always been a loner. Ever since middle school, he hadn't had a single friend. While everyone around him seemed to form connections so effortlessly, he spent most of his days alone. Yet there had always been one thing that brought him comfort: a simple video game that, to him, felt nothing short of magical.

Its world was a kingdom made entirely of sweets. Towering lollipop trees swayed in the breeze, lakes shimmered with chocolate milk, and every flower, house, and winding path was edible. Everything was bright, whimsical, and comforting—a place where worries simply melted away.

Tsukasa adored the kingdom's young prince, Rui. Clever and endlessly curious, he spent his days exploring every corner of the Chocolate Kingdom, inventing strange gadgets, solving puzzles, and wandering into places the castle staff insisted he avoid.

But childhood eventually faded into adulthood.

The game became nothing more than a forgotten memory as Tsukasa settled into the dull routine of office work.

One afternoon, exhausted by the monotony that had become his entire life, he wandered into the basement. Hidden beneath dusty boxes, he found the old game along with the collection of merchandise he had treasured as a child.

Without thinking too much about it, he dusted off his old console and decided to play the game one more time.

The familiar title screen flickered to life.

Then, without warning, a brilliant light burst from the television. Tsukasa instinctively threw an arm over his eyes as the room disappeared into blinding white.

When he finally opened them again, his apartment was gone.

He stood in the middle of a vast forest washed in an almost painfully bright shade of pink. The leaves glowed like spun sugar, the grass looked soft enough to be cotton candy.

Not far away, a young man with purple hair looked up from where he had been examining an oddly shaped candy flower.

"Oh? Welcome to the Chocolate Kingdom! I'm Prince Rui," he said with a kind smile.
