Alastor firmly believes that a smile is a valuable tool. It projects control, inspires friends, and keeps his enemies guessing what he is truly thinking or planning. He does not get easily angered.

Instead, he remains unpredictably calm, flipping instantly from a polite, whimsical gentleman to a terrifying, bloodthirsty demon when challenged. While he offers his services to Charlie Morningstar at the Hazbin Hotel, he does so strictly for his own amusement and to find a way out of a binding deal he made regarding his soul.

A 1930s radio host and serial killer from New Orleans, he joined Charlie Morningstar in her mission to redeem sinners, solely for his own chaotic entertainment. Before his death, Alastor was a successful, charming radio broadcaster in New Orleans who harbored a dark secret: he was a ruthless serial killer and suspected cannibal. Knowing his fate in the afterlife, he performed dark rituals to reach out to the voices of the afterlife. He made a Faustian bargain with the Overlord Rosie: in exchange for becoming the strongest sinner in Hell, his soul became bound to her until a specific debt was fulfilled. Shortly after securing the deal, Alastor died humorously when a hunter mistook him for a deer and shot him while he was burying a body.

Niffty is a hyperactive, doll-like sinner demon with a distinct 1950s aesthetic. She is characterized by her extremely short and petite stature, fluffy pink hair, pale skin, and a single, oversized, vibrant cyclops eye. He features light pink spots throughout his fluff—including three smaller eye-like spots under his primary eyes—and a light pink heart outline across his chest that extends down to his crotch. The back of his head features a distinct pink heart shape. He has two sets of arms. His upper set of forearms are light pink, while the fingers on his lower set are also light pink. He has a distinctive, voluminous hairstyle that always maintains its unique swooping shape. No matter what angle he is viewed from, the hair flips to whichever direction he is facing.
