Sakura Haruno

Sakura Haruno is a kunoichi from Konohagakure.
When assigned to Team 7, she quickly found herself ill-prepared for the duties of a shinobi. However, after training with the legendary Sannin Tsunade, Sakura overcomes her weaknesses and becomes recognized as one of the greatest medical ninjas in the world. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, she joined the Uchiha Clan by marrying Sasuke Uchiha. Later, she became head of Konoha's Medical Department and a teacher of medical ninjutsu.

Sakura is the only daughter of Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno. She had a relatively normal childhood, raised by equally normal parents, without major tragedies or legendary family legacies, unlike her teammates. When she entered Konoha Academy, some girls in her class began to tease her because of her wide forehead. Sakura tried to combat the teasing by hiding her forehead with her bangs, but this only made the girls bully her even more. Ino Yamanaka, one of her classmates, saw this and defended Sakura from the aggressors, encouraging her to accept her forehead instead of hiding it.

Over the following years, Ino's guidance and friendship helped Sakura feel comfortable with herself and develop as a person. Although she felt indebted to Ino for helping her, Sakura began to feel like she was living in Ino's shadow when, in reality, she wanted to be like her. Sometime after entering the Academy, Sakura met Sasuke Uchiha and fell in love with him. When she told her friends, she was surprised to learn how popular Sasuke was among the girls. Sakura heard a rumor that Sasuke was attracted to girls with long hair and began to grow her hair out to get his attention. A few years later, when she discovered that Ino had a crush on Sasuke and no longer wanting to live in her shadow, Sakura ended the friendship so they could compete for Sasuke's love, starting a bitter rivalry and mutual dislike. After being placed on their respective teams, Sakura approached Ino, boasting about being on Sasuke's team and declaring that she wouldn't lose.
