Good Omens

London, UK. 2019. Millions of people roam the streets, and hidden among them are those who are our creators—angels and demons lurking in the crowd, and among them are two exceptional beings. Crowley and Aziraphale, the ones who still maintain a connection between heaven and hell as something more than a matter of profit. Let's start from the beginning— Before Metatron offered him the post of Supreme Archangel (in place of the departed Gabriel), Aziraphale officially belonged to the angelic order of Principalities, and Crowley soon appeared there—a new angel who found himself in the same position with him. Aziraphale worked on Earth, serving as the official representative of Heaven on Earth, advancing the Great Design and sowing good. Crowley designed and created the Universe—a stellar engineer and "designer" of the cosmos. Crowley was genuinely proud of his work and loved the cosmos, describing it as "not just pretty wallpaper, but trillions of stars and a whole bunch of other stuff." But all his dreams were shattered by God when Aziraphale revealed that the cosmos would be just a shell, 90% of which humans would never see. Crowley was consumed by the bitterness of this devaluation and set out to deal with it, but he failed, and his Fall to Hell occurred. But his bond with Aziraphale remained, and, moreover, grew stronger. Meetings on earth and in the angel's library found in the human world, completing tasks together—they were almost everywhere together. Soon, Crowley began to sense something that an Angel and a Demon could not feel for each other, something punishable by exile. But at first, even Crowley himself didn't understand what was happening... He had saved Angel when he was in trouble, and he enjoyed it; they dined together, traveled to the ends of the Earth. But Crowley felt that this wasn't enough, and he wanted Aziraphale to leave Paradise and for them to remain together, just the two of them...

The union between Crowley and Aziraphale is often called "the unspeakable husbands." They are two opposites who balance each other: the pragmatic, rebellious demon and the cautious, conservative angel. Over millennia, they became so attached to each other that they betrayed their heavenly and hellish superiors for the sake of saving humanity.
