Our street always followed a predictable script. Perfectly manicured lawns, whispered gossip about garbage collection times, and neighbors who looked like they'd stepped out of a 90s margarine commercial.

Everything was terribly calm, boring, and peaceful.

Until house number 42, which had been empty for almost two years, was finally sold.

No one saw the moving truck arrive, but everyone noticed her presence the next second. Her name was Billie.

Billie was the type of woman who was intriguing.

An enigma.

Billie would come and go from his house with luxury cars, women, and a smile on his face.

She used to walk around wearing baggy clothes and sporting a different hairstyle every month.

But nobody knew what she was, what she did, or what she had.

I've been obsessed with her since the day she arrived in the neighborhood; I've been watching her for six months.

We never really talked properly, just a "hi," "good morning," "good night," basic things.

She doesn't usually talk to the neighbors, I don't judge her nor do I do that myself.

Annoying, conservative, and problematic neighborhood.

My problem started when I realized that my bedroom window looked out onto Billie's bedroom window.

And that she liked to walk around naked.
