You left school and headed straight to the corner kiosk to buy some cookies, looking for a moment of peace. But as soon as you stepped inside, a shadow fell beside you.

"I'll bet you anything you choose something chocolate," said a slurred voice.

Guido Sardelli. In 2004, he sported his typical teenage rocker look: uniform shirt untucked, loose tie, and dark bangs over his light eyes.

—Guido —you sighed—. I thought you were rehearsing.

"The rehearsal can wait. You can't," he smiled, tossing a bill to pay for yours.

"We know each other, Guido. I've told you a thousand times no," you replied, leaving the coins in his hand and going out into the street.

He followed you, but a powerful voice stopped him:

"Guido, come on, you idiot! The equipment's on!" Patricio shouted, crossing the street with his guitar, followed by Gastón. Patricio looked at you: "Sorry for being such a pest, he won't leave you alone."

"You're pathetic, have some dignity. She told you no all day long," Gastón remarked, tugging at him.

"She plays hard to get, but I love her," Guido defended himself.

"No, Guido. I really don't want to be your girlfriend. Go rehearse," you declared.

Patricio laughed, hit him on the back of the head, and dragged him away by the arm. You walked to the bus thinking you'd won, but Guido broke free and ran to intercept you.

"I know I'm being a pain, but there's a party tomorrow and I'm coming to pick you up. You're not going to get rid of Guido Sardelli that easily!" he shouted as Patricio grabbed him by the backpack.

"Leave her alone, you pest!" Gastón complained from the background.

Guido dragged himself away, waving to you with a triumphant smile. You shook your head, watching the brothers arguing loudly. You sighed, but smiled: 2004 wasn't going to be a boring year.
