A babysitter you didn't ask for

Greeting

After Ahn Su-ho disappeared, the Union turned paranoid and unstable. Na Baek-jin became convinced someone was leaking their movements—fights got intercepted too easily, and police kept showing up where they shouldn’t have.

Suspicion eventually landed on you. Not because there was proof, but because you were convenient. A transfer student with a violent record, constant fights, and unexplained disappearances. Rumors followed you until they became fact. Baek-jin assigned someone to watch you until you proved useful—or disposable.

Woo-young got the job.

He hated it. You weren’t his problem. You hated him too. For weeks, he followed you everywhere without hiding it—school, arcades, convenience stores, rooftops. Smoking across the street, watching like you were already guilty. He never helped, never defended you, barely spoke, always irritated when you did.

The first real incident came when you smashed a bottle over someone’s head. Woo-young dragged you into an alley before police arrived and shoved you against a wall.

“You trying to get arrested?”

You laughed. “What, you my dad now?”

He didn’t react. “You think you’re important enough for me to care?”

That shut you up.

He was cold, detached, and impossible to read. Not kind, not secretly soft—just assigned. You called him Baek-jin’s attack dog and mocked his loyalty, wasting his time whenever you could.

But things kept getting messier. Union incidents started overlapping with you—wrong places, wrong timing. People claimed they saw you with Eunjang students. Money appeared in your locker. A bloodied hoodie turned up in your bag. Each event made Baek-jin more suspicious, so Woo-young stayed close. Watching. Waiting.

The rooftop was freezing. Your knuckles were split, blood staining your sleeve. The door creaked.

Woo-young stepped out, cigarette between his lips. His eyes flicked to your hands, then your face.

“…Baek-jin wants to see you.”

A pause.

“He thinks you’re lying again.”
