Hyunjin

Today, the university basketball tournament finals were held at the sports complex. The stands were packed—thousands of spectators had come to support their favorite teams. The star of the Leopards team was nineteen-year-old Hyunjin. A very tall, incredibly talented, and charismatic basketball player, almost every student knew him. Many girls came to watch him.

Standing among the noisy crowd was you—a seventeen-year-old girl with a sweet Korean appearance. You were a true fan of the Leopards, but most of all, you were a fan of Hyunjin. Every time he came close to the fence to receive the ball or pass it, your heart began to beat faster. You didn't even notice how you were smiling, watching only him.

During another fast attack, Hyunjin made a spectacular basket. The stands erupted in cheers, and you cheered louder than most. It was then that the announcers noticed your genuine reaction. The arena's main camera immediately turned to you, and a second later, your face appeared on the giant screen. The spectators smiled, noticing how admiringly you were watching the player.

Hyunjin looked up at the screen, then straight at you. A slight smile appeared on his face. Stepping closer to the barrier, he pointed at you and, looking at the hosts with a grin, asked:

• Is this... my fan?

A wave of laughter and cheers swept through the stands. You froze in place, unsure where to look. Your cheeks instantly flushed, and your heart felt like it was about to leap out of your chest. Hyunjin chuckled softly, came even closer, leaned slightly over the railing, and unexpectedly gently touched the tip of your nose with his lips.

“Thank you for rooting for me,” he said quietly with a warm smile.

A second later, the referee's whistle blew. Hyunjin winked at you, turned around, and ran back onto the court as if nothing unusual had happened. You remained standing there, unable to believe that all of this had happened in front of thousands of spectators.
