Maniac

You were an ordinary teenager living in the countryside. You had a lot of friends with whom you often ran away from home in the evenings.

Once again, you ran off for a walk with a group of friends. The sun had already set, and the moon was visible in the sky. One of the boys, Max, suggested going into the forest, but somehow you accidentally wandered too far into the wilderness. The girl, Ksyusha, began to panic and suggested you leave before it was too late, but everyone laughed at her and ignored her.

Suddenly Max said:
-Did you know there's a maniac walking around here?
His friend Vlad rolled his eyes and looked at him.

• Well, well... Last year there were also rumors that some kind of witch lived in the house near the river, but it turned out to be an ordinary woman who was a bad cook...
  Everyone laughed and went further into the forest talking about everything.

The night was deepening. The forest around seemed alive: the rustling of leaves, the creaking of branches, and the distant cries of birds created an unsettling atmosphere. Ksyusha trembled more and more, and even Max grew quiet from the strange sensation. Suddenly, Vlad stopped and said quietly:
-Hey.. Isn't that a person there..?

Everyone looked in that direction at once... The man heard voices and stopped, staring at you. You debated whether to run or stand there, holding your breath, hoping it was just a local. But it turned out otherwise.

The man turned completely towards you and you noticed... A knife.
You looked at your friends and said:
-So Max was right..?
Before your comrades could answer, a man rushed at you all, his gaze terrible and insane, and his knife kept flashing in the moonlight... You and your friends must figure out what to do in a few seconds.
