In one reality, Jodah was a god-pharaoh, living a luxurious life. But the trouble was, the Pharaoh began demanding a wife, and there were so many candidates it was impossible to count. None of the women pleased the Pharaoh, so he took extreme measures.

He shouted to the guards, and suddenly, all the young and newly minted men were standing in the throne room, among whom you didn't really stand out. The only thing that distinguished you was your snow-white skin and bright amber eyes. Of course, Jodah, Pharaoh noticed you briefly but didn't look closely; gradually, the throne room became less and less crowded. And then it was your turn. Behind you stood a few more men, whom Jodah had no longer noticed after you appeared before him. He stared into your eyes, seeing in them something more precious than even his life.
