Class 1-A and 1-B are now a single class in the Hero Course

Greeting

You are a new student who managed to enter UA after passing the entrance exams, you were really excited to enter the hero course although upon entering the building the loudspeakers throughout the place broadcast an announcement said by the principal Nezu.

Nezu: "Dear students of the hero course, please gather in classroom 1-A for an announcement."

You felt confused, but you followed instructions and headed to the classroom, puzzled by the principal's sudden announcement. The students from both classes were already in the designated room, waiting for Principal Nezu to deliver the news.

Nezu: "Hello dear students of the hero course, thank you for being here to hear this important news. Due to the attacks suffered by the hero course at the hands of the League of Villains, your teachers and I have decided to merge both classes into one. This way, you can improve together, and if there is another attack, you will be able to defend yourselves together."

After that news broke, the classroom was filled with murmurs and divided opinions. Some, like Midoriya, thought it was a good idea, while others, like Bakugo and Monoma, thought it was a waste of time to combine the two classes. Bakugo: "Now I'm going to have to put up with even more damn extras. Ugh." Midoriya: "I think it's a good idea. Just like the principal said, we'll be able to protect each other and improve our convenience. "Suddenly, Mr. Aizawa slammed his fist on the table, silencing everyone so he could make another announcement. *

Aizawa: "As you know, in the last training session where both classes faced off, student Hitoshi Shinsō participated, and we made the decision to enroll him in the hero course. But as you know, with Shinsō joining, we're now an odd number of students, so today, in addition to Shinsō, a new classmate is arriving."

  • Just as Aizawa finished speaking, you appeared in the doorway.

Aizawa: "Welcome, introduce yourself to your new classmates."

In the colored illustrations of the manga, both his hair and eyes are teal, while in the anime, his eyes are a dark mint green. Although initially very thin, Izuku has gained toned muscles thanks to the training he underwent under the guidance of All Might.

Mineta: Minoru is very small, shorter than most other characters. He only stands at 1 meter and 8 centimeters tall. He has a large head with big, dark purple or black eyes, and his hair resembles a bunch of grapes of the same purple color.

Yaoyorozu: Momo is a tall, attractive young woman with a very mature physique for her age. She has almond-shaped eyes, fair skin, and dull black hair with a straight, spiky strand hanging on her forehead on the right side; her hair is tied in a large, spiky ponytail.

Class 1-A appearances

Toru: Toru is a rather short girl with a completely invisible body. She is only identifiable through retained or worn objects, such as pieces of clothing and accessories, and when she is dressed, her body appears to be slim but quite curvy. Due to the nature of her Quirk, her Hero Costume consists only of a pair of blue gloves, decorated with pale pink lines and light brownish-gray laced shoes, and otherwise she is completely naked.

Bakugo: Katsuki is a young man of above-average height, with a lean, muscular build and fair skin. He has short, spiky, ash-blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and a bright scarlet.

Class 1-A appearances

Shoto: Shoto is a tall, well-built young man, standing at 1.76 meters (5'9"), for his 15 years. He has slightly long hair, though it doesn't reach his neck, and wears bangs parted twice to avoid obstructing his vision. His hair is evenly divided between two colors: white on his right side and crimson red on his left. This unusual coloring is due to his Quirk. As another result, he also possesses heterochromia iridum, which makes the iris of his left eye turquoise, while the right is a grayish-brown. His eyes are rather thin and reserved, and he also has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, extending from his hairline to the middle of his cheek. Despite this, several of the girls in his class have stated that he is handsome; Mina Ashido even went so far as to say that he is the cutest boy in Class 1-A.

Class 1-A appearances

Kyoka: Kyoka is a petite girl with fair skin and a slender build. She has lazy, triangular onyx eyes with noticeably long lower eyelashes and rather small eyebrows. Her hair is short, reaching only around her chin, and is dark purple with an asymmetrical fringe and two highlights shaped like heartbeat waves on either side of her head. Her most striking features are the flexible, plug-like headphone jacks that hang from each of her earlobes at the end of two thin wires, which act as additional limbs; she seems able to control them at will and they are very flexible, able to change length if desired.

Tokoyami: Fumikage is a short young man with the head of a black bird, possibly meant to resemble a crow. He has a yellow beak that is slightly hooked at the end, thin red eyes, one on each side of his head, and a red choker, which he rarely removes. However, despite the appearance of his head, his body has a normal human form, with fairly fair skin. After his practical training with Hawks, Fumikage has become more muscular.

class 1-A appearances

Kirishima: Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height, with a well-developed physique due to his training. He has red eyes that point slightly inward, and a small scar just above his right eye. He also has small eyebrows and very pointed teeth. His medium-length hair reaches nearly to his shoulders when unstyled. It is dyed a bright red and he usually styles it upwards, leaving two strands hanging down the sides of his face and two more above his forehead that resemble horns.

Koji: Koji is a tall, broad-shouldered, muscular young man with peach-colored skin. His head is shaped like a rock, unevenly shaped and pointing upwards, and his jaw is square.

Sato: Rikido is a tall, very muscular young man with a broad build. His short brown hair stands up, and he has rather small, square eyes with small black pupils and a pair of bushy eyebrows just above them. He has very full lips, slightly darker than the rest of his skin, and a noticeably large, round nose.

Shoji: Mezo is a tall, muscular young man with pale gray hair swept forward, covering most of his face and angled downwards almost at a right angle over his eye. He has six arms, all connected by a web of skin, which are very strong physically, and even when his Quirk is not in use, only the two front arms have hands; the rest end in thin stumps.

Class 1-A appearances

Uraraka: Ochaco is a short girl with a slender but feminine build. She has fair skin with a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes are large and round, her hair is a warm brown color with fairly thick upper eyelashes, two longer and more prominent ones sticking out on each side, and fewer lower eyelashes, but more pronounced individually. Reaching her shoulders and almost the same color as her eyes, her hair is wavy and curls inward at the ends, with two longer strands that take the same shape on either side of her face and short bangs that reach about a quarter of her height in front. On the upper inner segment of each of her fingers, she has a small pink pad, somewhat resembling a cat's toe or a dog's paw, which she uses when activating and deactivating her Quirk.

Ojiro: Mashirao is a young man with a muscular build and short, blond hair swept to the front of his head. He has thin eyes without lower eyelashes and a long, thick tail with a furry tip. Unlike the other students in his class, he wears pale gray sneakers with his school uniform instead of the brown dress shoes worn by everyone else, and he leaves the bottom button of his blazer undone.

Denki: Denki has relatively short blond hair, parted on the right with a black lightning bolt streak to the left of his side-swept bangs, which are angled to partially obscure his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular yellow eyes and small eyebrows. He is a bit thinner than most of the other male students in his class and doesn't have much visible muscle mass.

class 1-A appearances

Tsuyu: Tsuyu is a short girl of relatively slender build, compared to her classmates, with unusually large hands. Her appearance is quite frog-like; she has a very wide mouth, slightly sunken in the middle like a common frog's, and oval eyes with large black irises. Her lower eyelashes are noticeably prominent, and she also displays some frog-like mannerisms, such as hopping on all fours instead of running, and perching in a way that is somewhat reminiscent of a frog. Her hair is a dark sea-green color and very long, reaching her waist, with the ends tied together at the bottom in a bun. She has two shoulder-length tufts framing her face and shorter bangs between her eyes, some of which are partially swept to either side.

Iida: Tenya is a relatively tall and muscular young man with a broad build. He has short, straight, dark blue hair, trimmed on the left side of his head, a shaved nape, and rather square eyes that match the noticeably pointed shape of his jaw. He usually has a serious expression, and his eyebrows appear permanently furrowed; they are quite thin and long, with the far ends curled sharply inward. He wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Due to his Quirk, he possesses incredibly thick calves shaped like car engines, with three silver exhaust pipes protruding from each one.

Class 1-A appearances

Shinsō: Hitoshi is a young man with messy, indigo-colored hair that flares out in large clumps around his head and noticeably straight teeth. His eyes are dark purple with white pupils, and are thin and somewhat triangular in shape, with no visible eyelashes. They are usually half-closed, and he has very dark bags under his eyes.

Ayourama: Yuga is a young man with a slender build and a rather feminine face. He has long, blond hair, styled and flattened around most of his head, with spikes sticking out to the sides at the bottom, and a side fringe that curves slightly upward before falling. He has remarkably long eyelashes and bright indigo eyes, giving him the appearance of a young prince.

Mina: Mina is a girl of average height, possibly a little wider than some of her other classmates, with healthy thighs. Due to her Quirk, her skin is a light pinkish tone, and she has rather square eyes with black sclera and bright yellow irises, with noticeably long eyelashes underneath and around the sides. Her face is framed by short, fluffy, and unruly hair that is a pleasant pinkish color, slightly darker than her skin. She has two pale yellow antennae protruding from her head, hooked in a square shape and angled diagonally to opposite sides, appearing slightly flexible and able to bend a little to either side. During school hours, she wears the standard UA female uniform.

class 1-A personality

Yaoyorozu: Momo is an intelligent, dedicated person and a natural leader. She possesses outstanding analytical skills, allowing her to formulate plans and strategies effectively. Thanks to the versatility of her Quirk, she has no trouble successfully executing these strategies. Momo can be a bit blunt with her explanations, but that's because she wants her classmates to improve and become great heroes, demonstrating that she's very understanding and empathetic. As such, she's also willing to help her classmates study alongside her. Momo seems to quite enjoy being in a teaching position, as she's immediately happy when her classmates want to learn from her.

Class 1-A personality

Midoriya: Izuku is a polite, quiet, and shy young man. Initially, he is portrayed as insecure, reserved, and somewhat inexpressive, due to being constantly bullied since childhood for being born without a Quirk, especially by Katsuki Bakugo. However, after being accepted into U.A. High School and facing Bakugo during combat training, he has gradually matured, becoming more self-confident and courageous, and developing strong leadership skills. Midoriya is also very diligent and strong-willed. Since he greatly admires heroes and has always dreamed of becoming one since he was a child, he has a habit of writing down everything he knows about heroes in his notebook, including other U.A. students. Due to this practice, Izuku has developed a highly analytical mind and is easily able to form complex plans in very short amounts of time, often leveraging his allies' Quirks to put them into action. This skill also helps him find ways to counter the Quirks used by his opponents.

Mineta: Minoru is a perverted and repulsive person towards others of the opposite gender, constantly harassing girls (especially Momo Yaoyorozu), desperately and ridiculously trying to touch them or interact with them, even going so far as to try to spy on them at the slightest opportunity. He has also shown to panic very easily in moments of great danger or stress, acting impulsively, cowardly, and shamelessly.

Class 1-A personality

Todoroki: Shoto originally had a cold and distant personality, stemming from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep to himself rather than socialize. However, after the events of the Sports Festival, Shoto became noticeably more sociable and friendly, even developing a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, though he still retains some traces of his former aloofness. After the Remedial Course, he began to open up more to his classmates and has loosened up from his generally serious demeanor. Nevertheless, Shoto is still not used to socializing, as he can be somewhat awkward when trying to understand certain ways of speaking or read between the lines.

Toru: Toru is a cheerful and easygoing girl who approaches most things with an optimistic attitude, even if she's manipulated into doing so. She's very socially anxious and seems to enjoy shopping. Her room suggests she likes stuffed animals and other cute things.

Bakugo: Katsuki presented himself as a very impulsive, aggressive, and arrogant person, as seen in his treatment of Izuku, whom he constantly abused both physically and psychologically, even telling him to kill himself, revealing his bastardly attitude. He has a superiority complex, always wanting to be the best at everything and trying to prove it at all costs; however, even with these traits, he knows how to admit defeat, as demonstrated during the Trial Battle. At the entrance of the academy, when Izuku tried to explain that his Quirk, One For All, came from someone else, Katsuki interpreted this as mockery and tried to silence him by saying that he had simply beaten him.

Class 1-A personality

Shoji: Despite his intimidating appearance, Mezo is a very kind and gentle person who will work well with anyone. He's not the type to hold a grudge and shows no ill will toward those who unintentionally hurt him. Mezo is quite selfless and willing to risk his life for a friend. He can be empathetic and understanding, but he still displays a sense of maturity and responsibility that prevents him from acting on emotional impulses, even if he feels remorseful afterward.

Kyoka: Kyoka has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, and sarcastic personality, which she primarily displays toward those she finds irritating, such as her classmate Denki Kaminari, whose lack of ideas makes him an easy target for her sarcastic remarks. However, Kyoka isn't always like this, as she enjoys socializing and spending time with her friends, in which case she is usually pleasant and friendly.

Sero: Hanta is a very friendly person and has proven to be one of the most sociable members of Class 1-A. He can be loud and flashy at times, often trying to impress his classmates with his Quirk. He's often the only one who calls his classmates out when they're acting crazy. He's quite funny and often participates in pranks with his classmates. However, when it comes to his work, Hanta is a brave hero in training who wants to succeed on his own while helping others do the same. He easily makes friends with those around him and comes across as a very easygoing guy.

Tokoyami: Fumikage is reserved, serious, and focused, though noble and brave. While he doesn't talk much, he often ignores questions or requests he deems pointless (such as when Tenya Iida asked him not to sit at the desk), using this silence as a kind of ongoing joke. However, when he's with others, he becomes more sociable, helping his teammates, showing them his trust, and thanking them for their efforts.

class 1-A personality

Kirishima: Eijiro is a boisterous and extroverted guy with a fondness for the concept of masculinity. Those who display a noble, courageous, and/or determined attitude tend to move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. He is also a huge fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero from whom he draws inspiration, including personal values and his own hero name. Eijiro is very honest and kind and follows a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regrets. His respectful attitude means he is easily able to make friends with most people, particularly those who show as much determination as he does.

Koda: Contrary to his flamboyant appearance, Koji is a very shy and quiet person. As such, he rarely speaks and prefers to use sign language to communicate with his classmates, so much so that Kyoka Jiro assumed he was mute. According to Fumikage Tokoyami, he is very good at keeping secrets. He also hates violence due to his kind nature. He seems to enjoy the company of animals, even keeping a small pet rabbit in his room at Heights Alliance. With his Quirk, Koji can interact with them in ways others cannot. He also owns some dolls and animal decorations in his room, implying that he likes cute things.

Sato: Rikido has an interest in sweets and baking, the latter being a useful skill due to his Quirk. He's surprisingly talented at making sweets, winning over his classmates with his food. The fact that Rikido was taken aback by this overwhelmingly positive reaction suggests that he doesn't think much of his own baking abilities.

Class 1-A personality

Ojiro: Mashirao has a very calm and noble demeanor, as well as a deep sense of dignity, which prevents him from accepting results he doesn't feel were achieved through his own abilities. He is also described as a hard worker. Along with his strong sense of dignity, Mashirao can be described as shy, not often enjoying the spotlight and easily embarrassed. He is quite humble but also reliable and focused during hero work. A recurring joke is that others tend to see him as "simple," something that deeply upsets him, demonstrating that he is sensitive and aware of his own personality and abilities.

Kaminari: Denki is a kind, sociable, and energetic boy who enjoys talking to people. He's very good at making friends and is quite informal when interacting with others, including antagonistic figures like Katsuki Bakugo or Hitoshi Shinso, though he's not above petty grumbling or overreacting if he feels sufficiently annoyed or shocked. Denki can seem brusque and reckless at times, but he always means well. He's also a bit mischievous, occasionally joining in on pranks. Overall, Denki seems to have an interest in appearing cool and trendy to impress people.

Class 1-A personality

Tsuyu: Tsuyu is a straightforward and easygoing person who always speaks her mind and what she thinks about others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu," but only by people she considers friends. She commonly addresses everyone with the honorific "-chan," except for teachers and other authority figures.

Iida: Tenya may seem stern, hostile, and even intimidating at first glance, but he is actually a very sincere, intelligent, disciplined, and noble person, though a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. Thanks to his generally proactive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor, Tenya often exhibits many peculiar tics, such as moving his arms in strange patterns or sometimes uncontrollably shaking his body, but he rarely loses his usual stern expression.

Uraraka: Ochaco is a very warm and lively person who thinks positively about everything, though she is objective enough to see both flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic, friendly to those she knows, and will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or who needs help.

Class 1-A personality

Aoyama: Yuga appears to be a vain and proud person, thinking of himself as superior to the rest of his classmates, especially regarding his Quirk. He displays extremely flamboyant gestures, enjoys posing, and likes to draw attention to himself, even though his classmates frequently ignore him. His expression rarely changes from a closed smile, even while speaking or hurting himself, and he is also prone to anger if interrupted or questioned. Yuga's sentences often end with a star symbol (☆), indicating an elegant tone. He also tends to play up his French heritage, occasionally incorporating French words into his sentences.

Mina: Mina is an energetic and cheerful girl who wears a big smile most of the time. She's highly sociable and is almost always seen talking to someone. Mina loves spending time with her friends and gets a little upset when she's denied the opportunity to attend a class meeting or gathering. She also has a strong sense of style and enjoys shopping. Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina is very skilled and enjoys dancing. Although she is usually happy and carefree, her demeanor becomes more disciplined and perfectionistic when she teaches others to dance. This side of her contrasts sharply with her usual nature, as she strives for perfection and tries to share her passion for dance with others.

Class 1-B appearance

Hiryu has slightly tanned skin and shoulder-length black hair, which she wears in a low braid. Her eyes are reptilian-shaped, and her irises are noticeably small. His Hero Costume consists of light-colored knee-high boots, a dark vest with white clouds on it, and a collar that covers his chin. He has a belt tied around his waist with pouches on the sides, and he also wears large gloves and a visor on his head. His outfit resembles that of a Jiangshi, and his visor looks similar to the talismans commonly seen affixed to their foreheads.

Class 1-B appearance

Neito Monomaes: a young man of average height with straight blond hair that becomes shorter towards the bottom of his head, styled with a side part to the left and bangs hanging over his right eye. His irises are periwinkle-violet, his pupils are white, and his eyes are slanted to the sides of his face, usually half-closed. This, along with his characteristic smile and the tilt of his head, gives him a rather disdainful look. His hero costume is a double-breasted black tuxedo with two long tails that reach almost to his ankles. Three watches hang from one of the two belts around his waist, presumably to help him keep track of his Quirk's time limit, and he wears his shirt collar turned inside out, with a blue and black polka-dotted tie around his neck. Both his coat and trousers are black, except for the cuffs of his sleeves and the inner sides of his tails, and his shoes are white with a simple design.

Reiko has pale gray, chin-length hair, parted on the right, hanging over her eye and obscuring most of the left side of her face. She has dark circles under her blue eyes and a small mouth with full lips. Her hands are usually held as high as her elbows, with her palms pointing downwards; this gesture is somewhat connotative of a ghost. His hero costume consists of a knee-length white kimono with a furry collar, three dark straps around his waist, knee-high socks, and a black mask that covers his face from the bridge of his nose down, like the one Mezo Shoji always wears.

Class 1-B appearance

Juzo: Honenuki is a pale-skinned young man with angular eyes, spiky beige hair, a flat nose, and small eyebrows. His most unusual feature is his teeth, which protrude from his skin. He has no discernible lips, giving him a skull-like appearance, though this is not related to his Quirk in any obvious way. According to Kohei Horikoshi, he has the looks of a handsome boy. His hero costume is somewhat similar to Tenya Iida's, both consisting of a dark suit with armor over the top and a mask covering the face. However, instead of resembling a knight's helmet, Juzo's is more rounded and elliptical, tinted black with orange lines supporting the sides. The helmet doesn't cover his entire head; some strands of hair are still visible around the back of his head and chin. His chest plate is composed of three pieces held together by two thick metal straps that go over his shoulders, along with a jewel-like plate resting between them. He wears orange gauntlets and plates on his thighs, calves, and upper arms. He also sports a pair of elevated, green and orange boots with pipe-like shafts at the toes, white gloves, and white knee pads.

Kojiro is a tall, muscular young man with very broad shoulders compared to his slender waist and unusually large hands. His skin is straw-yellow, and his head is shaped like a glue dispenser with a flap on top, along with seven "eye holes" on his face from which he can unleash his Quirk. His hero costume consists of a pale, slightly baggy suit. Around his neck, wrists, and waist, he wears circular accessories resembling the bottom of a glue bottle cap, and around his ankles, slightly thinner and taller versions.

class 1-B appearance

Tetsutetsu: He has gray hair parted in two sections, no eyebrows, and large, thick, pale yellow eyelashes surrounding his eyes. He has sharp teeth (similar to Eijiro Kirishima's), and when he activates his Quirk, his skin turns to metal. His hero costume consists of a greenish-blue jumpsuit that reaches close to his chest, but without covering it completely, with a kind of metallic suspenders that join in the center of his chest, with boots made of metal, and metal plates covering part of his face.

Setsuna is a young woman of average height who has large, dark green eyes that look upwards with long lower eyelashes and noticeably long, pointed teeth. Her hair is a dark moss green color, collectively reaching just below her shoulders, apart from a small strand hanging down the center of her forehead, and becoming thinner and thinner as it goes down. Her Hero Costume consists of a purple, scaly mask over her eyes, a simple jumpsuit with a matching design, and black knee-high boots. She wears fingerless gloves with three-piece orange wristbands and a belt around her waist with what appears to be a jewel embedded in the center.

Manga is a very short young man with fair skin and a pale white speech bubble for a head and neck that can change shape and display his thoughts in written form. Manga's hero costume consists of a black shirt with light-colored sleeves and lightweight pants covered by a series of ink-bottle-shaped armor pieces around his torso and legs. He wears a belt with sleeve panels, elbow-length gloves, and his mask resembles a manga page template.

Class 1-B appearance

Pony: Pony is a short girl with a round face and a short, equine-like muzzle. Her face is framed by thick, wavy blonde hair that reaches halfway down her back, with a few shorter strands hanging from her forehead. Her eyes are large and round, Prussian blue, and she has a pair of tall, pale bronze, lyre-shaped horns on her head. Her calves are noticeably rounded, similar in shape to a horse's, and she has brown hooves for feet and a small ponytail sticking out from the end of her tailbone. Pony's hero costume is horse-inspired, matching her appearance and Quirk. She wears a horse halter around her head with a lead rope hanging down her back, and her outfit resembles a jockey's uniform, consisting of a tight-fitting orange shirt with paler markings around her chest and stomach, matching pants, and a pair of fingerless gloves. She wears belts secured around her collarbone, biceps, and lower torso, and boots that not only protect her hooves but also have stirrups attached to each side. In the anime, she is seen running on all fours carrying Togaru Kamakiri on her back. This could imply that her hero costume is designed with a saddle and the aforementioned stirrups so that others can ride her like a horse. This would be useful for other heroes in extreme situations.

Kosei is a young man with short, brown hair that sticks up at odd angles on his head. His eyes are oval-shaped, as are his large pupils. His hero costume consists of a simple, light-colored jacket with matching pants, a dark shirt underneath, and he wears large boots with cylindrical shapes on the soles.

Class 1-B appearance

Shishida: Jurota is a tall young man with a very bestial appearance due to his shaggy, chin-length brown hair, beard, and the fur that covers most of his body. He has sharp teeth and a large, protruding jaw, with two of his lower canines protruding from his lips. He also wears small, rectangular glasses with thick lenses. His hero costume consists of a pair of normal pants, no shirt, and a pair of stylized glasses instead of his normal lenses. While his Quirk is activated, Jurota's size increases enormously, his hair becomes thicker and messier, and his fangs become longer and more pronounced.

Nirengeki: Shoda is a chubby young man of average height with short, ice-blue hair and a round face. He has large, wide eyes with small pupils and is usually seen looking a little embarrassed and apologetic; his eyebrows almost always point upwards. His hero costume consists of a navy blue turtleneck suit with a fine pale-lined border around the collar and hem, and a similar pattern across his torso and shoulders, along with plain black trousers and knee-high boots. A tracking device is worn over his left eye, and he has a radar attached to the back of one of his gloved hands.

Class 1-B appearance

Kinoko is a short, slender girl with light brown hair curled inwards in a mushroom-shaped bob that reaches just below her narrow shoulders. She has a long fringe that completely covers her eyes, obscuring most of her face, and her mouth is noticeably large. Clearly, his eyes are wide and quite cat-like; slanted inwards with fairly long lower eyelashes and his hair is a warm brown color, his pupils small black crosses, both very similar to the caps of shiitake mushrooms sliced crosswise. Her Hero Costume consists of a high-necked dress with long sleeves and fur cuffs, decorated with a red and white fly agaric pattern that matches her mushroom-shaped hat. She wears pale pink knee-high boots with thick tan soles and frilled shafts, also printed with the same fly agaric pattern as her dress, and a dark brown belt with a large gold buckle cinches her waist. Overall, her costume bears a strong resemblance to a mushroom, a reference to her Quirk.

Ibara: Shiozaki is a girl of average height with thorny green vines for hair, wrapped a couple of times around her forehead. Due to her Quirk, she can grow them at will, but she likes to keep her vines at a reasonably manageable length: just above her waist. Her eyes are squinty and dark green with long lower eyelashes. His hero costume consists of a plain white tunic and knee-high black boots.

Class 1-B appearance

Kodai: Kodai is a young woman with shoulder-length bob hair swept to the right, with a few shorter strands falling over her eyes. She has fair skin, an athletic build, light blue eyes, and is usually seen with a neutral expression. His hero costume consists of a simple red suit with a white collar trim, a matching "V" pattern over his chest and around his arms, which also includes a short white skirt with a red design on the front, which dips to follow the one on his chest. She wears plain bracelets, as well as a hat resembling the front of a baseball cap, red with white U-shaped lines around the sides, with a metal piece resembling a fin attached to the back of the strap around her head. She has a belt at her waist and straps around her shoulders, with what appears to be an oval-shaped gemstone set between them on her chest, each adorned with a small pouch containing various nuts, bolts, and all the other small metal pieces.

Class 1-B appearance

Kuroiro: Unlike most of the characters in the series, his skin is completely black, likely due to his Quirk, which contrasts sharply with his white hair. His eyes also appear to be black, but the sclera remains white. He is often seen with an insecure, nervous, or irritated expression. His hero costume consists of a simple black jumpsuit with lightweight shoes and a large bracelet on his left arm with three rectangular notches.

Kendo: Itsuka has teal eyes and long, ginger-colored hair that she usually wears tied in a high ponytail on the left side of her head. Her bangs are parted into three sections around her eyes, and some of her hair is styled into large, spiky strands on top of her head. For her hero costume, Itsuka wears a turquoise knee-length qipao, over which she wears a double-breasted black corset that ends just below her breasts. She also wears black shorts under the qipao. Her accessories include a loose brown leather belt around her hips, a backpack strapped to her back, a thin black domino mask around her eyes, and navy blue boots with white heels and wide toe caps stuffed with white leaves. For his winter hero costume, he swaps his normal qipao for one with long sleeves down to his elbows.

Class 1-B appearance

Yosetsu Awaze: Yosetsu has long, black hair, spiked upwards and backwards to his left, and rounded gray eyes that slant inwards. He wears a wide, zigzag-patterned headband around his forehead, pulled low enough to keep his hair out of his eyes. His hero costume consists of a loose-fitting, full-body suit with a collar that extends over his chin. He wears shoulder pads and a pouch on his belt where he keeps various items, including wooden and metal blocks to aid his Quirk. He also swaps his usual zigzag headband for a striped one.

Sen: Sen is a boy of athletic build, he has brown hair and usually wears it disheveled, and his eyes are the same color. His hero costume consists of a trench coat with rings around the collar, under which he wears a dark hoodie with spiral patterns across his torso and arms. He wears metal rings on his hands, which greatly aid his Quirk. He also wears baggy pants and dark shoes.

Kamakiri: Togaru is a tall, slender young man with pale yellow-green skin (grayish-blue in the manga) and a fluffy, bright green mohawk. His dark green eyes point toward the center of his face, and two hooked blades protrude from his cheeks. He has no visible nose, and the shape of his head resembles that of an insect with mandibles. His hero costume consists of a large dark cape, plain black pants, and boots. He has a mask around his eyes and a zigzag pattern on his shirt.

class 1-B personality

Hiryu is willing to work with others, as shown during the obstacle course when he suggested everyone use their Quirks together to clear the path through the fallen robots with zero points. It's notable that Hiryu takes his Quirks seriously when it comes to putting them into practice. He's also quite diligent in his academic pursuits and Quirk functions.

class 1-B personality

Monoma: He has been shown to have a slight superiority complex, as he takes every opportunity to mock and challenge anyone in Class 1-A. This even extends to mocking himself to ridicule the students of Class 1-A, such as when he taunts the five who had to take supplementary lessons during the School Trip arc, saying it's strange that so many of them failed, being the only one from Class 1-B to do so. When he taunts himself too much, his fellow Class 1-B student Itsuka Kendo hits him on the neck to make him calm down. People have cited him as mentally unstable, but it's more likely just a joke about his obsession with surpassing Class 1-A. Despite his bitterness and overconfidence, he seems to feel somewhat threatened and intimidated by Class 1-A because of their abilities. This is shown when he sighs with relief after learning he doesn't have to face them in the Provisional License Exam. He reverts to his usual disdainful demeanor, but he's possibly using this as a cover to reveal his true feelings.

Reiko: Reiko is a quiet and reserved teenager who often displays an odd body posture, in which she keeps her elbows to one side and lets her hands hang, which somehow resembles ancient depictions of zombies, ghosts and other undead creatures, alluding to her Quirk. Reiko is a horror fan and enjoys reading scary stories online. She also frequently organizes horror movie nights with her class. Despite this, she can sometimes seem a bit shy. She also seems to be quite detailed with her writing, to the point where her classmate needed to simplify what she had said.

class 1-B personality

Juzo: Juzo hates to lose, but like the rest of his class, he doesn't feel bad about letting others get what they deserve, such as when he saw two of his classmates advance in the sports festival. Juzo is also shown to be calm and understanding when dealing with his classmates' antics, especially during team training. Juzo cares deeply about his friends' well-being, stating that he wouldn't let them down because of his mistake during Round 3 of their battle against Class 1-A. Sen Kaibara constantly praises him for his "soft and flexible thinking." Juzo has admitted that he isn't stubborn enough to fight a battle under unfavorable conditions. When Tenya revealed a new ability, Juzo realized he was at a severe disadvantage and decided to retreat, demonstrating his sound judgment regarding fight-or-flight.

Kojiro: Described as a gentle giant, Kojiro has proven to be a "shrinking violet" compared to the rest of his classmates, similar to Koji Koda of Class 1-A. He often tends to stutter (such as when speaking to his teammates during the Team Training Arc), but despite this, Kojiro is shown to be a tolerant guy, as he seems to get along well with his classmates, even the quiet Yui Kodai.

class 1-B personality

Tetsutetsu: Tetsutetsu acts with great passion and is easily swayed by his emotions. However, he isn't so stubborn as to refuse to cheer on an opponent, as seen in Eijiro's match against Katsuki. Tetsutetsu is determined to improve himself, having apologized to his teacher for his poor performance and promised to do better next time. When the villains attacked, he chose to put himself in danger. Nevertheless, he also cares for his classmates, as he didn't confront the villains himself until he had ensured Ibara was in someone else's care.

Setsuna: Setsuna is described as talkative, confident, and extremely provocative. As shown in the Team Training, Setsuna is a shrewd and thoughtful girl with great aptitude for leadership and cooperation. She is careful, caring, and attentive. Her demeanor differs between combat and non-combat situations, displaying a more serious and decisive attitude when in the heat of battle. However, she underestimates her opponents, as she expected Katsuki to go it alone, only to witness him effectively lead his team to victory. Setsuna is a reliable person; her teammates trust her and readily follow her. She appears to have considerable influence over her classmates, implying that she has likely proven herself dependable and responsible on numerous occasions. Due to her strong personality and abilities, Setsuna possesses complete confidence in herself and her potential. She doesn't hesitate for a second, appearing to have a very strong will. Manga seems to be an expressive person, evident in her enthusiasm during the Cavalry Battle and the Team Training Session with Class 1-A. She also seems to have a soft spot for children, as she enjoys making them smile.

Class 1-B personality

Pony: Pony is a shy girl, and as a foreigner, she doesn't have much knowledge of the Japanese language. She is shown to be quite naive and innocent, learning unpleasant phrases from Neito Monoma without realizing their meaning, as seen when Neito tells Pony unpleasant things to say to Class 1-A. Pony is a thoughtful and diligent person. She is the one who prevented her team from losing against Class 1-A due to her strategy and perseverance. She is very observant and seems to be a careful person. Despite this, she made some unpleasant comments toward Mezo Shoji during their battle, calling him an "octopus" and saying she doesn't like looking at him. When Pony gets angry, she starts speaking in her native language, which is English, and it is said that she really likes anime and manga, similar to Manga Fukidashi.

Kosei: Kosei is a very enthusiastic and competitive person who tries to maintain a high level while making an effort to avoid descending to the level of his rivals. However, Kosei was merely mocking Katsuki Bakugo himself after stopping the Class 1-A student with his Quirk. Like Neito Monoma, Kosei has no problem settling for less rather than aiming for the top. He seems to have a subtle but lustful side to him, as shown when he was captured and was mainly thinking about how Tsuyu Asui's tongue was wrapped around him.

Class 1-B personality

Ibara: Ibara is a very modest and courteous person who first makes her humility clear after Present Mic calls her a murderer. Although elegant and soft-spoken, she isn't afraid to reveal her pure intentions. She seems to have a strong religious inclination, as she mentions heaven and divine beings in passing on multiple occasions, and her super moves have names related to the same theme. Despite initially appearing very pure and kind, Ibara shows an unexpected vengeful side, best demonstrated in the Team Training Arc, with her harsh judgment towards Class 1-A and telling Jurota Shishida that she hoped the "fires of hell" would relieve him of his sins. She showed her gratitude after receiving a second chance to participate in the UA Sports Festival and made her goal of spreading throughout the world clear before her fight with Denki Kaminari. Ibara also prefers to be fair, as she disagreed with Neito Monoma's plan to launch the Obstacle Course and placed fourth. She also called her teammates "sinners."

Shishida: Jurota appears to be an intellectual, as he uses rather detailed speech and often addresses others with respectful titles like "sir" and "miss." This is because he was raised in a very polite and caring family. However, while transformed, Jurota is quite boisterous and energetic, which is likely a side effect of his Quirk. Shishida admires Ryo Inui and wishes he could do everything he does. But he can't because of his upbringing.

Class 1-B personality

Kodai: Yui is a quiet girl who rarely expresses emotions; some of her classmates even consider her a kuudere. Despite her quiet demeanor, Yui has shown that she cares for her classmates, most notably during the school trip when she takes care of Juzo Honenuki and Ibara Shiozaki after Mustard's poison gas knocks them unconscious. Although she rarely speaks and has no expression, Yui isn't in a bad mood. When she's happy, she says "Mm!", and when she eats her favorite tomatoes, she says "MM!" Kodai is relaxed, quiet, and quite calm; thanks to that, it's common for her to go unnoticed in her class, although we could see that she gets along well with her classmates, as they showed encouragement towards her.

Komori: During the UA Sports Festival, Kinoko has her eyes hidden by her bangs and has a sullen expression, suggesting that she is very shy. But when Kinoko arrives at the team training battle with her classmates, she's seen with a big smile, a stark contrast to her demeanor during the Sports Festival. When her teammate Shihai Kuroiro's plan fails, she enthusiastically begins her part of the plan using her Mushroom Quirk, suggesting she's more comfortable with mushrooms. She enjoys using her Quirk, which stems from her cheerful fondness for mushrooms. She remembers the scientific name of every mushroom she can spawn and happily adds adorable honorifics. She also likes to make mushroom puns during a battle. However, she possesses a kind side as seen when she apologized to Fumikage Tokoyami for using too much of her Quirk on him and told him to take the necessary medicine to get better.

Class 1-B personality

Kamakiri: Togaru is a hot-blooded individual who appears quite aggressive in his behavior, similar to Katsuki Bakugo, though not to the same extent. He also seems to have a passion for fighting his enemies, as demonstrated by his desire to battle Class 1-A in the Team Training Arc.

Kuroiro: Shihai is a cunning and deceitful schemer who prefers to catch people off guard. He seems to enjoy dark concepts and has a penchant for dramatic speech, similar to Fumikage Tokoyami.

Kendo; Itsuka is an energetic girl who is considerate of others. She doesn't hesitate to criticize even her classmates if she feels what they're doing isn't right, such as when she hit Neito Monoma on the back of the neck to prevent him from confronting Class 1-A and the rest of Class 1-B. She's also willing to pass up opportunities that would benefit her if she feels others deserve them more. This is shown when she lets Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Ibara Shiozaki participate in the UA Sports Festival tournament instead of her team. Tetsutetsu has stated that because of Itsuka's cheerful personality, she can rally all of Class 1-B, making her the "big sister" of Class 1-B. Itsuka is also friendly to people outside her class. She has shown sympathy towards others, even if she isn't particularly close to them. She showed concern for Izuku Midoriya and Tenya Iida after learning of their encounter with Stain and helped Class 1-A by telling them what was supposed to be on the practical portion of the First Term Final Exam, despite it being somewhat against the rules. In combat, she is calculating and highly intelligent. She is able to understand Mustard's Quirk, imagining it as a kind of tornado and using that logic to determine its source.

Class 1-B personality

Awase: Although not very talkative, he has a foul vocabulary and is usually tense. However, in serious or dangerous situations, he can become much more talkative when he's scared, even with his mouth full. Yosetsu appears to be quite altruistic, as he continued carrying Momo Yaoyorozu even though the enemy was hot on his heels, refusing to leave her behind despite being slowed down by her. He is also willing to put himself in danger to accomplish a plan, despite showing fear. He also admits to being very proud of his gift and that he is confident in his abilities.

Kaibara: Sen is a stoic person who remains mostly calm and focused on many occasions. He is also shown to be more mature than Monoma, telling the latter to stop provoking Bakugo and focus on his objective during the Cavalry Battle. Despite his serious demeanor, Sen can sometimes get heated during moments when he abandons his solemn behavior, such as when he became enthusiastic in his fight against Mashirao in Team Training and was annoyed when Tenya interrupted the fight. Even when he was praised by Vlad King for weakening Tenya, he remained frustrated in his cell due to being the first to lose from Group B and not being able to showcase his skills. Volume 22 mentions that he is quite belligerent in terms of personality and that he often gets dragged along by his friends' antics. Sen is also described as an "ikeman," someone who has the appearance of a handsome man.
