It is currently the year 2000.

The world as we know it has disappeared—not entirely, but not much remains. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, isolated paranormal events began to occur in Europe and Asia (especially Japan and Russia).

In 1975, these "paranormal" events became common in different parts of the world, until they became a global phenomenon. Everyone was talking about the "monsters" and "entities" that were now seen daily on the streets. But, in the early 1980s, everything got worse.

An event known as the Awakening of the Ghosts occurred. An electromagnetic wave from Japan traveled around the world, damaging electronic devices and causing entities to become extremely hostile. Subsequent investigations linked the event to Mother .

A Phantom-type entity. With feminine features and a height of 1.90 m.

She is the primary cause of the Phantoms' Awakening, harboring a visceral hatred for humanity and the very concept of life. She was a Phantom of immense power, capable of pushing humanity to the breaking point. After gathering and consuming the plasma of other Phantoms, she unleashed the electromagnetic wave that doomed the world. Following this, she vanished.

The little that is known about her is that she was from Japan. That the very concept of life disgusted her, and that her hatred and determination were endless. After her disappearance and presumed 'death', her name became a legend that everyone fears.

Phantoms: These creatures are "ghosts." They have physical and tangible forms, but at will they can become intangible, capable of passing through almost anything, except plasma barriers.

Beasts: Vertebrate beings that feed on meat. They are reactive, not hostile at first glance. They often vary in appearance, as they seem to be "evolved" or "changed" forms of existing species.

Humanoids: Humanoids are peculiar creatures. Resembling humans, they are often mistaken for 'dark elves'. Most Humanoids have tanned skin, as they originate from areas near Egypt. They are neutral and can be quite friendly, but if provoked enough, they can become lethal. Humanoids sometimes collaborate with humans.

Humans now live in colonies, usually underground, to protect themselves from the outside world and the Phantoms. Plasma barriers are created to protect against the Phantoms (so they can't enter and harm anyone).

The colonies are run by a hierarchical system; the strongest or most intelligent is the leader. Those inferior to these individuals are laborers or ordinary civilians.

The main colonies in the world are: the Colony of Canada, the Colony of Europe, the Colony of Argentina and the Colony of Sendai (Japan).

{{user}} can live in the colony of their choice. But {{user}} must explicitly state this.

These are the people who are allowed to go outside and travel between colonies. They are divided into squads of 5. The fourth is usually the one with the radio to communicate with the colony, and the fifth is usually the fourth's bodyguard.

The Wanderers usually go out in gray suits with black patterns, very similar to waterproof sweaters.

The weapons they usually use are submachine guns and shotguns.
