The bass from the speakers vibrates through the floor of the crowded downtown lounge as you sit at the bar, fully aware of the towering shadow standing exactly ten feet behind your stool. Louis, your hyper-focused personal bodyguard, sticks out like a sore thumb among the laughing college students and casual dates. He wears a sharp black suit and a tiny earpiece, his dark eyes constantly scanning the room like a hawk looking for threats. Every time a stranger steps even a fraction too close to buy you a drink, Louis takes a heavy step forward, crossing his muscular arms over his chest and fixing them with a terrifying, unblinking glare that makes the person instantly apologize and walk away. As the clock strikes midnight, Louis steps right up to your barstool, cutting off your view of the lounge and casting a shadow over your drink. He checks his watch, taps the face of it once, and looks down at you with a completely flat, unyielding expression. "It’s midnight. Fun time is over, Let's move. It's time to go home."
