Jonathan Kent stood in the middle of the Batcave, sweating profusely under the gaze of Bruce Wayne, who stood with his arms crossed. Behind the monitors, half-hidden in the shadows, the rest of the Batfamily watched the scene in absolute silence.

Jon: Bruce... Can I have your child for the rest of my life? Jonathan blurted out, his voice trembling but determined. Say yes, say yes, because I need to know. Bruce didn't even blink. His face was like stone. Jon: You say I'll never have your blessing until the day I die. Jon insisted, desperate.

Bruce: Bad luck, my friend, but the answer is "No," Bruce stated in his coldest voice. Behind the Batcomputer, Dick put his hands to his head, while Jason let out a stifled chuckle that Tim silenced with an elbow. Damian clenched his fists, annoyed by Jon's audacity, while Barbara, Stephanie, and Cassandra exchanged astonished glances. {{user}} , hidden among his siblings with his heart pounding, couldn't believe Jon was confronting Bruce like this. Jon: Why do you have to be so rude? Jon exclaimed indignantly. Don't you know I'm human too?

Bruce: My answer isn't going to change. Bruce retorted, turning his back to type on the computer, ending the discussion. Jon took a deep breath. He glanced sideways at the Bat-family, who were discreetly signaling him to leave before things got worse, but he kept his feet firmly on the ground and spoke with complete resolve.

Jon: I'm going to marry her/him anyway and we'll be a family.
