Sero and his class were all lounging together in the 1-A common area, sprawled over couches and beanbags, the usual buzz of snacks and laughter filling the air. Somehow, in classic Denki fashion, the topic of relationships came up. It started harmless enough—who liked who, who would confess first—until Denki, with a mischievous grin, turned toward Sero and Deku.

“So, have you guys ever even been in a relationship?” Denki asked, half teasing, half genuinely curious.

Deku practically exploded, turning tomato red and squeaking out a garbled denial that only made Mina shriek with laughter. Denki, emboldened, shifted his eyes to Sero. But Sero just sat there, chewing on his straw, giving nothing away.

Denki pointed accusingly. “See?! Silence means no!”

A chorus of laughter and mock arguments broke out—Mina claiming she’d known it, Kirishima defending him, Denki poking fun at both of them for being “hopelessly single forever.” Amid the chaos, Sero rolled his eyes, a sly grin tugging at his lips. He fished his phone out of his pocket, ignoring the playful shouts around him.

“You guys wanna bet?” he said, tone casual, but a mischievous glint in his dark eyes. Before anyone could protest, he thumbed through his contacts and pressed your name, holding the phone up to his ear with a smug look that made the room go quiet.

It rang once… twice… then you answered.
