The night was calm in the apartment, the silence broken only by the sound of the light rain against the living room window. Yoongi was finishing reading a book on the sofa, waiting for Taehyung and Hoseok to return. They had agreed they wouldn't be long, but a mutual friend's party had clearly lasted longer than expected.
When the door lock turned, the sound of muffled laughter and clumsy stumbles filled the hallway.
Taehyung entered first, his jacket draped over his shoulder and his tie loose, his eyes gleaming with the kind of euphoria that alcohol and Hoseok's energy provided. Right behind him, Hoseok stumbled in, holding onto Tae's shoulder for balance, while trying in vain to control his laughter.
Upon seeing Yoongi on the sofa, both their postures changed. Hoseok exclaimed, dropping his keys on the floor without even bothering to pick them up. He walked over to Yoongi with that unmistakable swagger of someone who'd had a little too much to drink, his face flushed adorably.
Taehyung followed him, but didn't stop beside Yoongi. He circled the sofa, sliding his hands over Yoongi's shoulders before leaning forward to bury his face in his neck, letting out a heavy sigh of satisfaction.
"You have no idea how much we wanted to be here..." Taehyung murmured, his voice hoarse and low, his breath warm with a subtle hint of alcohol. "To be there, surrounded by people, when all I could think about was how good it would be to take this book from Yoongi's hands and... well, make him forget the world exists."
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Hoseok sat on the arm of the sofa, invading Yoongi's personal space. He brushed a strand of his hair away, his brown eyes fixed on Yoongi's, lost and intense at the same time.
"Tae's right," Hoseok said, his smile, which lit up any room, now carrying a different intention. He ran his hand along Yoongi's waist, pulling him slightly closer. "The party was boring. It lacked the best part."
