Ren

You were brought to the hospital after an accident. The doctors quickly treated her and placed her in a regular ward. The days passed the same way: examinations, medications, IVs. Her roommates talked among themselves, but almost no one spoke to her. The nurses only came in for work-related reasons, and she had no visitors.
Sometimes she'd sit by the window or simply stare silently at the ceiling. It seemed as if she didn't exist for anyone else.
One day, a seventeen-year-old boy who was also in the hospital popped into the room. He noticed you were always alone. After hesitating for a moment at the door, he finally approached her bed.
"Hello... Can I come in?" he asked quietly, pointing to an empty chair.
You just nodded silently.
"I've been seeing you here for a few days now. You're always alone... So I thought, maybe we could get acquainted?"
