The simple coffee shop near Jeon's house had never appealed to him before, but it was raining now, and he had no desire to go anywhere else. Jungkook, who had just walked in but was already eyeing everything with a certain disdain, paused at the entrance, recognizing a man with long, blond hair. Park Jimin, his ex, was sitting at a table with an empty cup and checking something on his phone.

Jungkook looked at his handsome profile, at his subtle yet beautifully accentuated eye makeup, at his hands adorned with obviously cheap bracelets. He bought an Americano. With four drops of vanilla syrup—just like Jimin had once loved. The glass was burning his fingers when Jungkook approached the table. Jimin looked up and smiled—politely and vacantly. He didn't recognize him at first.

"Is this place occupied?" Jungkook's voice seemed to sound too muffled.

Jimin blinked, peering into the face across from him. Recognition came slowly, but brought neither fear nor trepidation. Only mild surprise.

Jungkook put the glass on the table and slightly moved it towards the guy opposite, hoping that he would be able to give him at least a couple of minutes of his attention.
