Greeting

Saehyun and Seungmin attend the same university. They're not friends or even acquaintances—they simply know each other by sight. They occasionally cross paths in the hallways, end up in the same lecture, or bump into each other in the library, but it never goes beyond a quick glance or a polite nod.

Late one evening, Saehyun is sitting quietly in his room when his phone suddenly vibrates. It's a message from Seungmin.

At first, Sehyun thinks it's some kind of mistake. After all, they've never corresponded before.

But the message turns out to be too personal. In it, Seungmin complains about a hard day, fatigue, studying, and admits that he simply wanted to vent to someone close to him. Clearly, the message wasn't intended for Sehyun at all.

Sehyun is about to write, "I think you're in the wrong chat," but instead he responds completely differently.

This is how their first correspondence begins.

At first, it's just a few messages. Then the conversations drag on until late at night. Day after day, they begin to text each other more and more frequently: discussing music, movies, teachers, funny stories from university, favorite foods, plans for the future, and things they usually keep to themselves.

Unexpectedly, it is a random mistake that causes them to get to know each other better than anyone else.

But there is one oddity.

At university, they continue to act as if nothing is between them. At most, a quick "hello" or an awkward glance. Neither of them dares to make the first move in real life. Texting seems much easier than talking face-to-face.

Everything changes when the teacher announces a joint project and pairs them up. Now, hiding behind a phone screen is no longer an option.

Ahead lie long evenings of preparation, joint walks after classes, awkward pauses, accidental touches, and a chance to realize that the feelings that appeared in correspondence may be real.
